A smooth, straight ride

Control, comfort and even tire wear

Your steering and suspension keep the tires in contact with the road and the vehicle going where you point it. Shocks, struts, joints and bushings wear gradually, so changes can be easy to miss until the ride or handling feels off.

Steering
Keeps the vehicle going where you point it.
Suspension
Keeps the tires on the road over bumps.

Our ASE certified mechanics specialize in European & domestic vehicles, and we work on all makes and models.

When to get it checked

Signs of steering or suspension wear

These parts wear slowly, so the changes can be easy to get used to.

  • Pulling to one side

The vehicle drifts left or right on a straight, level road.

  • Clunks over bumps

Knocking or rattling noises from underneath.

  • Bouncy or rough ride

The vehicle keeps bouncing after a bump, or the front dips when you brake.

  • Uneven tire wear

Tires wearing faster on one edge than the other.

Tip: write down when it happens and what you noticed, and tell us when you call.

Wheel alignment, uneven tire pressure, worn suspension parts or a brake problem can all cause pulling. An inspection narrows down the cause.

A bouncy ride, the front dipping when you brake, the vehicle leaning in corners, or uneven tire wear.

It can be a sign of a worn joint or mount. Some are minor, but these parts affect control of the vehicle, so it is best to have it checked.

Every vehicle and every problem is different, so we look at your vehicle first and then talk you through the cost. Call 224-269-5090 to ask about your vehicle.
